A major cause of genome instability is the presence of unrepaired DNA damage, and the project will mainly address the study of how DNA damage tolerance pathways contribute to maintaining genome integrity in proliferating cells and how these are interconnected with proteostasis networks. The project will combine in vivo and in vitro studies and the methodology will include molecular biology, cellular biology, genetics and biochemistry techniques. Fundamental biological processes are evolutionarily conserved, and the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae will be used as a working eukaryotic model.<\/p>\n<h3>Duration<\/h3>\n<p>2 years<\/p>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>Candidates must hold a PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Microbiology or related fields.<\/p>\n<h3>Contact<\/h3>\n<p>jatercero@cbm.csic.es.
