El tracto intestinal desempe\u00f1a un papel fundamental en el desarrollo, la regeneraci\u00f3n, la inmunidad y la nutrici\u00f3n. Muchos aspectos cr\u00edticos del desarrollo y la funci\u00f3n intestinal permanecen inexplorados a pesar de su relevancia. Nuestro grupo de investigaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 profundamente comprometido con la promoci\u00f3n del entendimiento de la morfog\u00e9nesis intestinal y la polaridad celular, especialmente durante procesos cruciales como el desarrollo, la homeostasis y la regeneraci\u00f3n. Nuestro trabajo tiene implicaciones significativas en la lucha contra enfermedades como la enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal (EII) y varias formas de c\u00e1ncer. El papel del tracto intestinal es crucial en varios aspectos: desarrollo, regeneraci\u00f3n, inmunidad y nutrici\u00f3n. Sin embargo, los mecanismos subyacentes asociados a su desarrollo y funcionalidad son en gran parte territorios inexplorados. Nuestra investigaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 a la vanguardia de la exploraci\u00f3n de estos aspectos fundamentales, incluyendo c\u00f3mo los enterocitos neonatales participan en el di\u00e1logo metab\u00f3lico con la microbiota y las c\u00e9lulas inmunitarias para establecer la homeostasis. Para estos estudios utilizamos una combinaci\u00f3n de modelos celulares organot\u00edpicos fundamentales y modelos de tejidos epiteliales de pez cebra y rat\u00f3n fisiol\u00f3gicamente adecuados para comprender procesos biol\u00f3gicos complejos. Una nueva l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n en nuestro laboratorio involucra c\u00e9lulas madre embrionarias de rat\u00f3n (mESC) y humanas (hESC) para recrear y estudiar la formaci\u00f3n epitelial y las complejidades de la divisi\u00f3n celular asim\u00e9trica en el desarrollo intestinal.

Es m\u00e1s, al integrar modelos de intestino en un chip con sistemas in vivo, aspiramos a revolucionar la comprensi\u00f3n de la morfog\u00e9nesis intestinal y sus v\u00ednculos con patolog\u00edas, incluido el c\u00e1ncer. Por tanto, empleamos un enfoque multidisciplinario integral para desentra\u00f1ar los mecanismos moleculares que impulsan la formaci\u00f3n, el patr\u00f3n y el metabolismo que sustentan la morfog\u00e9nesis intestinal y la homeostasis. Nuestro objetivo final es obtener una comprensi\u00f3n hol\u00edstica de estos procesos moleculares, proporcionando perspectivas revolucionarias e identificando nuevos objetivos farmac\u00e9uticos para el tratamiento de enfermedades humanas. Nuestros objetivos principales incluyen: -Descifrar el papel de la ciclina B1 en la orientaci\u00f3n del huso mit\u00f3tico durante la divisi\u00f3n celular y su impacto en la progresi\u00f3n del carcinoma en tejidos intestinales. -Investigar la funci\u00f3n de los enterocitos neonatales ricos en lisosomas (NEs) en las etapas iniciales del desarrollo y el metabolismo. -Desentra\u00f1ar la interacci\u00f3n metab\u00f3lica entre la microbiota, las c\u00e9lulas epiteliales y las c\u00e9lulas inmunitarias en el mantenimiento del equilibrio intestinal. -Analizar los procesos de epitelizaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas madre y sus implicaciones para la formaci\u00f3n del lumen intestinal y embrionario, tanto en contextos de salud como de enfermedad. Por \u00faltimo, nuestra investigaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 configurada para pasar del laboratorio al \u00e1mbito cl\u00ednico a trav\u00e9s de colaboraciones con el Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Sanitaria del Hospital Ram\u00f3n y Cajal (IRYCIS-Madrid), donde examinaremos la expresi\u00f3n de estas prote\u00ednas en tumores epiteliales humanos para informar posibles estudios cl\u00ednicos sobre la progresi\u00f3n del tumor. <\/p>\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Nuestro trabajo tiene implicaciones significativas en la lucha contra enfermedades como la enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal (EII) y varias formas de c\u00e1ncer. El papel del tracto intestinal es crucial en varios aspectos: desarrollo, regeneraci\u00f3n, inmunidad y nutrici\u00f3n. Sin embargo, los mecanismos subyacentes asociados a su desarrollo y funcionalidad son en gran parte territorios inexplorados. Nuestra investigaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 a la vanguardia de la exploraci\u00f3n de estos aspectos fundamentales, incluyendo c\u00f3mo los enterocitos neonatales participan en el di\u00e1logo metab\u00f3lico con la microbiota y las c\u00e9lulas inmunitarias para establecer la homeostasis. Para estos estudios utilizamos una combinaci\u00f3n de modelos celulares organot\u00edpicos fundamentales y modelos de tejidos epiteliales de pez cebra y rat\u00f3n fisiol\u00f3gicamente adecuados para comprender procesos biol\u00f3gicos complejos. Una nueva l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n en nuestro laboratorio involucra c\u00e9lulas madre embrionarias de rat\u00f3n (mESC) y humanas (hESC) para recrear y estudiar la formaci\u00f3n epitelial y las complejidades de la divisi\u00f3n celular asim\u00e9trica en el desarrollo intestinal. Por tanto, empleamos un enfoque multidisciplinario integral para desentra\u00f1ar los mecanismos moleculares que impulsan la formaci\u00f3n, el patr\u00f3n y el metabolismo que sustentan la morfog\u00e9nesis intestinal y la homeostasis. Nuestro objetivo final es obtener una comprensi\u00f3n hol\u00edstica de estos procesos moleculares, proporcionando perspectivas revolucionarias e identificando nuevos objetivos farmac\u00e9uticos para el tratamiento de enfermedades humanas. Nuestros objetivos principales incluyen: -Descifrar el papel de la ciclina B1 en la orientaci\u00f3n del huso mit\u00f3tico durante la divisi\u00f3n celular y su impacto en la progresi\u00f3n del carcinoma en tejidos intestinales. -Investigar la funci\u00f3n de los enterocitos neonatales ricos en lisosomas (NEs) en las etapas iniciales del desarrollo y el metabolismo. -Desentra\u00f1ar la interacci\u00f3n metab\u00f3lica entre la microbiota, las c\u00e9lulas epiteliales y las c\u00e9lulas inmunitarias en el mantenimiento del equilibrio intestinal. -Analizar los procesos de epitelizaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas madre y sus implicaciones para la formaci\u00f3n del lumen intestinal y embrionario, tanto en contextos de salud como de enfermedad. Por \u00faltimo, nuestra investigaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 configurada para pasar del laboratorio al \u00e1mbito cl\u00ednico a trav\u00e9s de colaboraciones con el Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Sanitaria del Hospital Ram\u00f3n y Cajal (IRYCIS-Madrid), donde examinaremos la expresi\u00f3n de estas prote\u00ednas en tumores epiteliales humanos para informar posibles estudios cl\u00ednicos
