This initiative, driven by the ESV President, <strong>Prof. Michael Kann<\/strong> (University of Gothenburg), aimed to establish a <strong>network of young virologists<\/strong> and foster collaboration and knowledge exchange in the field of virology.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop gathered <strong>35 participants from 11 European countries<\/strong>, including <strong>PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and young group leaders<\/strong>. Over two days, attendees presented interdisciplinary approaches and explored the use of <strong>advanced imaging techniques<\/strong> in virology.<\/p>\n<p>The program featured <strong>four distinguished speakers<\/strong> who shared the latest advancements in the field:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Julian Kompa<\/strong> (Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, Heidelberg)<\/li>\n<li><strong> Susan Cox<\/strong> (King&#8217;s College London)<\/li>\n<li><strong> Eric Snijder<\/strong> (Leiden University)<\/li>\n<li><strong> Wolfgang Kastenm\u00fcller<\/strong> (University of W\u00fcrzburg)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Beyond its scientific impact, this event served as a <strong>unique platform<\/strong> for young researchers to establish <strong>connections and future collaborations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The success of this first edition was made possible thanks to the sponsorship of the <strong>ESV<\/strong>, the <strong>CBM<\/strong>, and the <strong>EuroBioImaging<\/strong> platform.
