La alteraci\u00f3n endocrina est\u00e1 causada por la exposici\u00f3n a diferentes t\u00f3xicos que interfieren con la actividad del sistema endocrino, en muchos casos a trav\u00e9s de interacciones directas con receptores de hormonas. La alteraci\u00f3n endocrina causa alteraciones neurol\u00f3gicas y reproductivas, as\u00ed como patolog\u00edas del sistema inmune.<\/p>\n<p>En este trabajo se utilizan larvas de la mosca de la fruta, <em>Drosophila melanogaster<\/em>, \u00a0que son deficientes en la s\u00edntesis de ecdisona, la principal hormona esteroidea de insectos, como modelo para estudiar el efecto del Bisfenol A, uno de los alteradores endocrinos de m\u00e1s uso en la industria de fabricaci\u00f3n de pl\u00e1sticos. Los autores muestran que la presencia de Bisfenol A en la dieta de las larvas de <em>Drosophila<\/em> estimula respuestas biol\u00f3gicas que son caracter\u00edsticas de la hormona ecdisona. Mediante modelado molecular de la estructura del Receptor de Ecdisona, los autores tambi\u00e9n muestran que el Bisphenol A tiene el potencial de interaccionar con el dominio de uni\u00f3n de ligando del receptor de ecdisona, ocupando un dominio de esta estructura que normalmente ocupa la ecdisona.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-290960 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cbm.uam.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/dro_BPA-res.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"454\" height=\"454\" \/><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">Estructura del receptor de ecdisona unido a BPA<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Drosophila<\/em> es un modelo experimental que se ha utilizado en multitud de campos de investigaci\u00f3n biom\u00e9dica, incluyendo el de la toxicolog\u00eda.
