Actualmente no existe ninguna medida eficaz para prevenirlas, y la \u00fanica opci\u00f3n terap\u00e9utica es volver a operar al paciente.<\/p>\n<p>El nuevo hidrogel, desarrollado por TYBR Health, se aplica en forma de aerosol durante la cirug\u00eda. Est\u00e1 compuesto de <strong>matriz extracelular de origen porcino<\/strong> y presenta propiedades inteligentes: es l\u00edquido a baja temperatura, lo que facilita su aplicaci\u00f3n, y al alcanzar la temperatura corporal se convierte en un gel que permanece en el lugar de la intervenci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de funcionar como una barrera f\u00edsica que evita que los \u00f3rganos se adhieran entre s\u00ed, el hidrogel act\u00faa como <strong>modulador biol\u00f3gico<\/strong>. Protege al tejido de se\u00f1ales mec\u00e1nicas e inflamatorias y bloquea un proceso celular clave \u2013la <strong>transici\u00f3n mesotelio-mesenquimal<\/strong>\u2013 que convierte c\u00e9lulas protectoras del peritoneo en fibroblastos, responsables de la fibrosis y las adherencias.<\/p>\n<p>Los ensayos realizados en ratones y conejos sometidos a cirug\u00edas abdominales mostraron que el hidrogel favorece la regeneraci\u00f3n del mesotelio y reduce de forma notable la aparici\u00f3n de adherencias, demostrando un perfil de biocompatibilidad y eficacia muy superior a las estrategias actuales.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSe trata de un enfoque innovador y cl\u00ednicamente transferible que podr\u00eda mejorar la recuperaci\u00f3n de millones de pacientes sometidos a cirug\u00eda abdominal en todo el mundo\u201d, explica la Dra.
