About the Seminar
Mindfulness therapy has emerged as an effective psychological intervention for improving mental health and cognitive functioning. Rooted in contemplative traditions, it is integrated into modern clinical psychology.
Mindfulness therapy operates through attention regulation, the ability to consciously direct, sustain, and shift attention in a purposeful manner. Attention regulation is fundamental to cognitive processes such as learning, emotional control, and decision-making. However, modern lifestyles characterized by constant digital distractions, stress, and multitasking often impair attentional control and contribute to mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and attentional difficulties.
Mindfulness-based practices, including focused breathing, body scanning, and mindful observation, train individuals to recognize distractions and gently redirect their attention back to the present moment. Through repeated practice, individuals develop greater meta-awareness and cognitive control over their attentional processes.
